We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Compliance Analytics Assesor


Role purpose:

This role supports various analytical projects for the Compliance Analytics function. The compliance analytics team is involved in providing best-in-class Analytics solutions to the Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance functions across lines of businesses and geographies within the organization. The team caters to both strategy and operations aspect of managing financial crime through a combination of the following activities

  • Enable Bank to monitor their customer transactions and generate automated alerts for activities that may be unusual and indicative of potential Financial crime including money laundering, terrorist financing, etc.
  • Design, deploy, monitor and maintain models in various geographies for Transaction Monitoring / Client screening
  • Support Financial Crime Compliance Operations with analytical solutions for increased efficiency and operational effectiveness through models, scorecards and data attestation frameworks
  • Define Compliance Metrics and Design / Deploy MI dashboards to provide insight into system / process performance
  • Support System Implementation teams to ensure zero defect

Main activities:

  • Participate in projects leading to solutions using various analytic techniques for the Compliance activities through involvement in any or all of the following activities
  • Assist in the design, development and testing related to new and existing Name screening solutions
  • Create and execute test plans and present results and conclusions
  • Deliver analysis to support best practice Name Screening Solutions to deliver business objectives and optimal system performance as a global standard
  • Provision of day to day name Screening system analytics support
  • Generate insights that will help to improve efficiency of name screening model
  • Execute the assigned projects/ analysis as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality.
  • Complete analysis as required and document results and formally present findings to management
  • Adhere with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

  • Basic Statistical orientation. Fundamental concepts of testing of hypothesis, segmentation, pattern recognition, trend identification etc.
  • Basic/ Intermediate python skill. Ability to understand and run existing scripts. Can make basic modifications on scripts. Can create own functions. Understanding of language fundamentals (if-then, for loop, list etc.)
  • Intermediate/ advanced knowledge on SQL/ HIVE/ other query languages. Familiarity with large data extraction process and complexities related to the same.
  • Logical thought process to curve out analytic insight from data – Intermediate/ Advanced.
  • Ability to convert analytic finding into business friendly actionable insight and articulate the same to stake holders.
  • Understanding of model governance and ability to document analytic solutions in optimal way to defend those in front of internal/ external reviewers.
  • Exposure to strategy development and implementation, model monitoring/ validation, implementation of any analytic solution across countries with necessary customization.
